The constant of technological progress and market changes drives businesses, organization, and all social aspect to work on increasingly more complex. That’s why World Economic Forum incorporating Complex Problem Solving into the most important skills in the 4th Industrial revolution. The WEF report shows that 36% of all jobs across all industries will require complex problem-solving abilities as a core skill by 2020.


The purpose of this interactive-participatory course is to provide an overview of the foundations and applications of complex problem-solving through mixed methods research. You will learn how to prevent “jumping to conclusions” and “jumping to solutions”.


The course will introduce the major types of mixed methods research and discuss objectives and rationales for conducting a mixed method study, it consists of presentation and group exercises on study design, data collection, analysis and decision making strategies. You will also learn how humans think and how to utilize different disciplinary approaches to tackle problems more effectively.  It advances your knowledge of your own field by teaching you to look at it in new ways.

To be selected for this scholarship, you must:

– Be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of commencing the Digital Mastership

– Be a founder or employee of Local Startup / Micro Small Medium Entreprise

– Be a citizen of and residing in Indonesia

– Be committed to attend the whole sessions, to follow all directions and guidance from mentors and lingkaran, including finishing all the tasks within the required time limit and participate in the impact research (three months after the program)
