ComeUnity #4: Founders Brunch Club

ComeUnity, i.e. our favorite get together program, is back! By now you know what it is, right? It is our program dedicated exclusively for our members to gather, share, and connect in a positive environment by developing collaborative network.

This time, we were dedicating the session for our fellow founders of start-ups and creative business owners to whom we feel deeply connected to. We’ve grown from a baby project and soon is going to be a toddler, thanks to our mentors, partners, collaborators, and our community of learners. By this time, we wanted to express our gratitude over a laid back brunch setting on Sunday morning, where we could catch up on things.

Also, we want them all to know each other (if they’re not already, since the big durian ain’t that big, after all…)

.

So, on Sunday, August 13th, 2017, CreativeMornings Jakarta teamed up with Common Grounds and Oh Happy Home supporting our very first ComeUnity: Founders Brunch Club. It was a lovely session filled with light talks, friendly greetings, and good news. After all, business owners will always think about their baby 24/7. At one point or another, even maybe on an easy Sunday morning, all a founder needs is some people who one can talk to.

“It’s lonely to be on a leader position, sometimes. Today, I feel blessed to be surrounded by fellow founders who is on the same page with me. Same struggles, same concerns. It wasn’t at all about exchanging business cards or prospecting new partners, more than that, I saw some fellow instantly making friends one another!”

— Wendy Pratama, our Founder & Headmaster, excitedly exclaimed.

.

Let us introduce you to every important people who made the session possible.

Rofianisa Nurdin, founder & host of CreativeMornings Jakarta, organized the session with abundant help of CMJKT’s old-time coffee partner, Aston Utan, the founder of Common Grounds, and his awesome team: Mike, Yessy, Vania. Common Grounds provided all that we need to make our tummy happy, beside letting us dominated their PIM 2 venue. Tuning Soebagjo, founder of Oh Happy Home, and her intern Verebena Haditya, helped setting up the lovely brunch vibe with their exceptional table setting decoration and fresh flowers!

Representing our team, Aldi Ulaan, our experience designer and icebreaker game expert, came on behalf of Fresh Farm founder. Rayendra Abiyasa, our wizard of growth who is also the founder of Kala Watch, were there to document the session and to update everyone with lingkaran’s next events. Next month we will held a collaboration event We Need to Talk: Dare to Fail, and Marchella FP, founder of Generasi 90an, will be there as one of the speaker.

Our dearest “landlord”, Akbar Brojosaputro of Conclave also came, updating us about Conclave’s newest Coworking Space in TB Simatupang, which will be launched in a few months. Fellow lingkaran mentors also came: Andandika Surasetja of MORAL who led our Fashionpreneurship class, Lala Bohang, the author of The Book of Forbidden Feelings among other things she creates, and our own founder’s mentor: Alexander Sriewijono of Daily Meaning.

Awesome couple founders of Burgreens also came! Thank you Helga Angelina & Max Mandias for stop by in between your schedule to checking up your newest branch 😉 We were glad, too, that Daniel Tumewu of Hyve, who is currently leading Start Up Berlin project which we joined in, made it to the brunch, despite being unwell that weekend. And on top of everything, we’d love to introduce you to our ComeUnity Members who came: Stefany Apriliani of Wok a Day and Domy Halim of KC Sleep Wear. Since our ComeUnity has grown bigger now, we wanted to engage more and respond deeper to their needs. And inviting them over as part of our big family is one of the way.

This supposed not to be the last because apparently everyone’s happy (we hope so)! We can’t thank them enough for supporting us, and really look forward to more good news to come. Keep in touch!
